Dead Digital Threads

Dreamboat (Dead Digital Threads)
In this piece, I continue to try (and fail) to manifest digital communication into the real world. The paper-mache was formed from written out texts from a failed relationship, mirroring the failure of the boat to act as a boat. There was then a slapstick, messy performance in which I try to float away in the Dreamboat (Dead Digital Threads) and do not.
The outcome of the Dreamboat triptych is a mess and acts as an embodiment for life.
The boat was made from processes of consumption and excretion and is put under processes of consumption and excretion. The cultural meaning of a dreamboat was explored and I decided to compare the immateriality and unsubstantiality of desires against that of the digital through the structure of a boat.
